I have an eight position soda machine. If you were in charge of getting soda for it, what would you put in it?
Here's what I currently have: Mountain Dew, Sprite, Cherry Coke, Lipton unsweetened Iced Tea, Fizzy Hi-C Fruit Punch, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Barq's Root Beer.
I missed the boat somewhere.
What are commonly available soda fountain beverages that I need?
Brand Name, too, please. There are four kinds of soda fountain root beer, for instance, Barqs, A&W, Dad's, Hire's and Mug. I like Barqs...you disagree? Which root beer is best? What are your 8 dream sodas that are real and avaiable commercially?
Next, the dream sodas. The Surge, the New Coke, Tab, Fresca, etc. If you could put any 8 sodas in, what would they be?

Things I've had in the past: Countrytime Lemonade, Orange Fanta, Hawaiian Punch, Ale-8-One. Sierra Mist.
Countrytime Lemonade was not happy here.
Ale-8-One kept losing boxes in the mail. They gave up.

They make other versions of Mountain Dew for fountains??!? Sweet.
I loved Baja Blast and Live Wire. Code Red gives me the um...makes me...um...after I drink it, I need to go to the bathroom to do a #1.5.
Has anybody else eve had Ale-8-1? My friend in Kentucky said people drink it more than beer there. I said "I have to try this!" He was right. Diet Ale-8-1 is the highest caffeine content soda made.
I loved Baja Blast and Live Wire. Code Red gives me the um...makes me...um...after I drink it, I need to go to the bathroom to do a #1.5.

I wish they still made mountain dew pitch black. I'm also a big fan of baja blast and livewire. Drank live wire one summer and stayed up for 4 days in a row that summer. I guy like me can really get wired off caffeine.

Taco Bell usually has the latest and greatest in Mtd Dew Flavors.. I've seen Baja Blast and Pitch Black.

Thats because Taco Bell used to be owned by Pepsico and they have some real close ties still...they did steal my idea of making special flavors for good clients though. I never have found enough good flavors to do that with, unfortunately.

I think you u def need coke and diet coke which i believe are the number 1 and 2 selling sodas... also maybe a energy drink in the mix
IMO Id loose the mountain dew.. pepsi.. and dr pepper to make room for those

There is only one thing that could pry Mountain Dew from my grasp...thats Surge...which isn;t happening. I believe Mountain Dew is the #4 soda...
I like Pepsi better than Coke. Thats why its there...I like RC better than Pepsi, but they stopped distributing to Southern California...
Diet Coke? And get Fibromyalgia or Multiple Sclerosis from the aspartame?

I always thought that Mr. Pibb was just the eastern distributed version of Dr. Pepper. But it turns out that it's a competing brand going against Dr. Pepper (DP being bottled by Pepsi, Pibb by Coca Cola). Pibb is just sweeter than DP and has a couple of undertone flavors like cinnamon. Weird.

I would drop the Iced Tea for Regular Coke, I love Pepsi and Coke but regular coke from the fountain is awesome. If you can get some Red Rock Cola then I would use that instead of Pepsi or Coke but it's a pretty small company out of Atlanta, GA.
Alright my machine would be this:
Diet Coke
Coca Cola Classic (With Cane sugar--you're close to Mexico, you might be able to find some Mexican coke pretty easily) or Red Rock if I could find it
Dr. Pepper (Dublin Dr. Pepper with Cane sugar if you can find it but I think that might only be in bottles anymore)
Mountain Dew (Not my favorite but I know a lot of people love it)
Sprite
Pepsi Throwback or just Pepsi
Some Root Beer ( I don't like Root Beer but a lot of people do)
...I can't think of another one that would be easy to get.
